BENDIGO now has access to more than 100,000 megalitres of water.

Last weekend's rainfall has pushed Coliban's southern storages, and its share of Lake Eppalock, to 101,280 ML.

Lake Eppalock is holding 173,384 ML and is at 57 per cent of capacity.

It has received 138,000 ML since August, and is at its fullest since 2002.

The weekend rain topped off an incredible few months.

Lake Eppalock was just 8.5 per cent full in May.

Bendigo's share of Lake Eppalock is 43,390 ML, an increase of 13,400 ML, or 24 per cent, in the past seven days.

Coliban Water's storages received considerable inflows on the weekend, rising 20 per cent.

The Upper Coliban Reservoir holds 30,789ML and is at 82 per cent full. Lauriston is holding 19,440ML at 98 per cent full, and Malmsbury is 43 per cent full with 7,652ML.

A Coliban Water spokesperson said she expected water levels to continue to rise.

"The good news is that inflows to these storages are still continuing," she said.
