i dont believe pumping water from one area to another is going to help anything. Especially with the dryness of Victoria. Rivers are supposed to flow, we already can see the problems concerning the Murray River with the saturation of overuse. It doesn't flow in some areas! With river levels shrinking all over Australia due to drought conditions, by draining rivers to feed other areas will just compound the problem, not fix other areas.
