The big night
Bendigo will again come alive on Monday night with the annual New Year’s Eve carnival.

Festivities will begin at 8pm in the Hargreaves Mall and along Williamson Street, with Kyra the Clown doing her thing from 7pm.

The Brophy Brothers circus will again be one of the most popular attractions, along with amusements and rides.

Band Gunnado and singer Anne Conway will provide more entertainment and Mr Pockets the clown will also entertain with his creative balloon animals.

Another attraction set to be popular is the Rotary Club and Victoria Police street surfer bus

Fireworks from the poppet head in Rosalind Park will end the carnival at midnight.

Oganiser Anne Jones said the event was a popular one for families.

Buses will run the usual routes to 2am.

Organisers have reminded revellers not to park in the QEO car park on New Year’s Eve.

If there are any cars in the car park at all, the fireworks display cannot go ahead.
