Driver dies in crossing smash

Fatal V/line crash for car driver near Dingee

A WOMAN died when the car she was driving was involved in a collision with a train at a level crossing north of Bendigo yesterday afternoon.
The collision occurred at a level crossing which did not have warning lights about two kilometres south of Dingee at 2.30pm.
All 63 passengers and staff on the Swan Hill to Bendigo train escaped injury. They were taken by coach for the remainder of their journey.
In June last year 11 people died when their train from Swan Hill was involved in a collision with a truck near Kerang.
