Title: The Firefighter’s Recipe Book
Title: The Firefighter’s Recipe Book
Compiled by: CFA volunteers
Price: $10

The Bendigo Firefighter’s Cook Book is a locally-produced booklet of tried and true recipes to satisfy
the men and women in uniform,
not to mention their mates and their kids ... in fact the whole kit and caboodle.
The recipes are a collection of favourites from a handful of CFA volunteers who are as handy in
the kitchen as they are behind a
hose.
With some great one-pot wonders, such as Fireman’s Stew, the book will suit a busy family with lots of mouths to feed.
The Little Aussie Nibbles recipe of baked, bite-size potato balls sounds perfect for toddlers’ tummies.
With mains, desserts and “smoko” sections, there’s something for all occasions and all times of the day.
Some traditional recipes are presented with a new twist.
For example, try the scones made with lemonade and you won’t make them any other way.
The cook book will be launched at 9.30am on Wednesday, February 20, with an emergency services cook off, in Rosalind Park.
So get in for your chop, not to mention your fireman’s stew.
