Prime Minister apologises
HUNDREDS of people watched at the Bendigo Town Hall on Wednesday as Prime Minister Kevin Rudd apologised to the stolen generations.
People of all ages, races and backgrounds stood and sat side-by-side watching big television screens as Mr Rudd delivered his apology.
They all rose to their feet and applauded spontaneously when the apology concluded, some hugging and crying, others choking back tears.
A community barbecue and a celebratory music performance followed the apology.
