World’s greatest Shave

Right time for cuts

BENDIGONIANS love a good charity, especially when it is related to health, and they turned out in droves to support this year’s Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave event this week.
Men and women, boys and girls of all ages either coloured or shaved their hair, or supported those who did, to help raise money for the foundation’s 10th appeal.
The brave Bendigonians have helped push the current Victorian fundraising total to more than $400,000.
Every hour, someone in Australia is diagnosed with leukaemia, lymphoma or myeloma.
More than 30,000 Australians are living with one of these cancers but only four out of 10 adults survive.
Since 1998, World’s Greatest Shave has raised in excess of $67 million.
