Searching for hidden creatures
By News Report
Unusual visitors to the fernery
THE City of Greater Bendigo and local artists will host a special one-day free event in the Rosalind Park fernery on Easter Sunday from 10am until 5pm.
Hidden Creatures is a must for children and their families.
The exhibition features an audiovisual ecosystem that has been created especially for the fernery.
It includes sculptures by Marianne Midelburg, modelling material and paint by Robert Stephenson and animated video sculptures by
local film maker and animator Paul Fletcher.
A unique soundtrack has been designed using altered recordings of wild and domestic animals and people.
More than 20 different species of previously never seen, sculptured and animated creatures will be visiting the fernery. Visitors will be able to wander freely through the fernery looking for these creatures or just sit and relax and quietly observe the environment.
