Students sleeping a night in other’s shoes
By News Report
Sleeping out
A GROUP of 20 staff and students from Weeroona College will brave the elements and spend a night in cardboard boxes next weekend.
The group will spend 24 hours from April 11 to 12 living out of the boxes and surviving on rice and water.
They will also give up technology, including mobile phones and MP3 players, in an effort to raise money and awareness for homeless people and the conditions they endure.
Funds raised will go to the OakTree Foundation, a youth run organisation responsible for the Make Poverty History campaign.
To donate, phone Rowena on 5448 4375 or donate to the collection tin during the event.
