CD review
By Lauren Mitchell - Bendigo Life
Silver Skies
Title: Silver Skies
Artist: Sara Storer
Genre: Australian Country
Publisher: EMI

SARA has been gigging since 2002 and has established herself in the circle of Australian country singers.
She’s no stranger to awards and has a mantelpiece groaning under Golden Guitars and the like.
Silver Skies was released in November and is her fourth album.
I had to fight Loz for the review copy as she’s a real fan of the style.
Managed to borrow it just long enough for a few listens. Thanks Loz.
I’ve labelled the CD Australian Country because it’s just that.
No steel guitars, a distinctly Australian accent on some of the songs and a real Australian feel.
A good mix of styles, humour and songs, and a couple of ghost stories too. Sara’s a great storyteller and singer to match.
She’s a pretty mean guitarist too.
Sara’s playing at the Theatre Royal, Castlemaine tomorrow.
One to make the effort for.
