The Delltones are returning to town after a five-year absence as part of thier 50th anniversary BoppaDooWop national tour.
For five decades this legendary outfit has played, celebrated and elevated rock’n’roll - one of the few real constants in a frantically changing world.
Audiences still scream, audiences still shout, audiences still go away singing the songs.
With a brace of classic hits to their name, including Gee, You’re The Limit, Little Miss Heartbreak, Get A Little Dirt On Your Hands, Come A Little Bit Closer and Hangin’ Five, the Dellies have charmed, enchanted and energised audiences since they stormed stadiums with Johnny O’Keefe in the late 50s.
“Our sound is aimed at the heart and feet,” says Peewee Wilson.
“I’ve always wanted to do music that reflected romance and humor. The bottom line for the Delltones is entertainment.”

Bendigo artist Ellen Coyle’s work features in Foma; a live textile installation on the sidewalks of Melbourne during the Next Wave Festival.
Ellen’s textile and costume art weave
together patterns from the human and
animal worlds.
Ellen is a costume designer whose creations are designed with human motion in mind.
Combining sewing and embroidery techniques with notions of subtle choreographed movement, Coyle creates stories of human faith and folly, truth and lies, through her garments.
Ellen has a background in theatre and costume arts and is currently exploring the relationship between concept, character and costume.
The theme of her work is ‘Difference and Closeness’, and it explores the similarities and differences between people and their environment.
The Next Wave Festival is on from May 15 to 31.  For info on the full fesival program visit www.nextwave.org.au.
