Artist Candy Stevens is currently working in a corner of the Eaglehawk Recycle Shop.
“Artists in Recovery” are local artists who use recycled objects in their art works.
It’s another form of recycling, which will help extend the life of the land fill, and add some vibrancy to the recycle shop.
Each participating artist will spend three months working in the space, and the public are encouraged to visit and talk about the works being made.
Candy is working on an a metal framed female sculpture which will eventually have grass growing on it.
Candy’s completed sculpture will be on display June-July at the Bendigo Conservatory, as part of the One Woman One Colour exhibition.
