New signs have unique Kangaroo Flat feel

New branding
THE City of Greater Bendigo has developed a distinctive new design and brand for signage and promotion of the Kangaroo Flat business district.
Mayor and local councillor David Jones said the design of the new branding was based on the city’s major entrance signs but with a unique Kangaroo Flat look and feel.
“Although the new brand uses similar colours to the city’s main entrance signage it also features the silhouettes of  kangaroos and trees and is really quite unique,” he said.
“The aim of the new brand is to create a stronger identity for the Kangaroo Flat area.”
The new design will initially be used on about 10 existing poles in the Kangaroo Flat shopping strip and funding for three new entrance signs featuring the new design will be considered by council in the 2008/09 budget.
Cr Jones said the council worked closely with the Kangaroo Flat Business Network to undertake a range of
improvements in the Kangaroo Flat CBD.
“As a result footpaths have been upgraded, new street furniture installed and landscaping works carried out.
“The development of the new brand is the next step,” he said.
