Mothers Day Classic
ONE in eight Australian women will be diagnosed with breast cancer by the age of 85, and locals are being asked to do their bit to bring that figure down.
Women in Super – a national network of women working in the superannuation industry, is organising the Mother’s Day Classic  across the country, and a group of local women are helping out in Bridgewater.
The Shearing Shed Sheilas will host Bridgewater’s first Mother’s Day Classic and they hope you can join them in the quest to help find a cure for breast cancer.
The walk will be held at the Bridgewater Recreational Reserve on Sunday.
There will be two walks offered, over three and six kilometres.
Registration begins at 9am, following which there will be a guest speaker and a minute of silence for women who have lost their fight.
Participants need to register to take part and to receive a show bag full of goodies including a medallion for their participation. Registration fees are $15 per adult and $5 per child.ONE in eight Australian women will be diagnosed with breast cancer by the age of 85, and locals are being asked to do their bit to bring that figure down.
