Bus chaos
By Nicole Ferrie
Mum walks home as bus changes cause stir
BELINDA Anderson and her two young sons walked home in the rain when they could not catch a bus from Golden Square to Kangaroo Flat.
After collecting her son from school, Ms Anderson tried to catch a bus along High Street at Golden Square.
When the bus stopped, she was told there was no room for her with a stroller and she would need to wait for the next bus.
Already cold and wet, Ms Anderson walked to a nearby bus stop in Mackenzie Street near Maple Street, where the bus drove straight past.
“It was raining, so we kept walking and ended up walking home,” Ms Anderson said.
“We got home at 5.30pm.
“Connor was crying, he was wet and uncomfortable and very tired in the stroller and Thomas was so grumpy you couldn’t reason with him when he got home.
“I had a massive headache, I was pretty stressed.”
However, Ms Anderson does not blame the drivers.
“It’s not working the way they’ve changed it,” she said.
“We need more school buses because the kids are taking up the public buses.
“There’s a big need here.
“I don’t think it’s been very well planned.
“It’s our public transport and we pay money to get to where we need to go, we should have been asked what was needed.”

my daughter is 6 when she was in a pram there were a couple of occassions where i could not get on a bus because it was crowded this was during non school hours and obviously before the new system there will be times when this happens people also need to hail the bus when they see it coming that is why it is written on the bus stops to bad the weekly has decided to take a negative approach to covering the new bus system there are plenty of people out there who are happy with it but we only get to see stories from whingers be prepared with wet weather gear when picking kids up for school to keep them from getting to wet on the few occassions that there may be rain

This is a real mess you've left us with Bob and Jacinta. Missing detail has made bus timetables a shambles. It took you years to listen to community about Kangaroo Flat railway station and it's certainly time you liswtened to rest of Bendigo about the buses.

What do expect when Cat Woman just sits on the fence and only appears for news photo's.
And The Phantom is even worse he only appears now and again.
Vote them out next election, the answer is easy.
    Time to go P & C.
