Thompson in town for BFL clash
By Alan Besley

North Melbourne star Nathan Thompson heads back to the country this weekend as part of the Australian Football Community Weekend.
The Kangaroos key forward is headed to Bendigo tomorrow to watch the clash between Kangaroo Flat and Kyneton at Dower Park.
Australian Football legend Kevin Sheedy said this weekend will be a special moment in football history with the focus on community grounds around the country.
“This weekend the football fraternity can say thanks to community clubs who have helped shape this great game,” he said.
“It is an opportunity for everyone to celebrate the game with all the people that support your community club.”
More than 300 AFL players and an anticipated two million people are expected to return to grass roots clubs this weekend to celebrate the role that Community Football has played in their lives.
