Langdon resigns

Dr Langdon has resigned from the Bendigo Health board.
Bendigo Health has written a new chapter with board chairman Michael Landgon resigning this week.

Dr Langdon resigned from the Bendigo Health board due to personal reasons and is effective immediately.

Dr Langdon said it had been an honour and a privilege to serve his local community in this capacity.

He was appointed in July 2011 after serving on the board between 1994 and 2004.

Acting chief executive officer Andrew Collins said Dr Langdon had made a significant contribution to Bendigo Health as chair.

“Bendigo Health wishes Michael every success in the future and thanks him for his dedication to our staff and patients during his two periods of service on the board.”

Health Minister Jill Hennessy confirmed she had accepted Dr Langdon’s resignation and thanked him for his service.

Sue Clarke will become the acting chair until a new chairperson is appointed.

She has served as been a board director since 2010 and is also Director of Haven Home Safe, Loddon Mallee Murray Medicare Locals and Community Foundation for Bendigo and Central Victoria chair.
