TWO men aged in their 20s have been removed from their car after it rolled on the Calder Alternate Highway today, around midday.

The Bendigo Weekly understands their injuries are life threatening and both have been transferred to hospital.

The men were trapped in their car for about an hour after it rolled between the Lockwood and Crusoe Roads intersections.

The road has since been cleared.

Earlier

TWO men are trapped after a car accident on the Calder Alternate Highway near Lockwood.

The NSW-registered four wheel drive came off the road between the Lockwood and Crusoe Roads intersections. It is believed they were heading north.

At least one has leg and arms injuries and another head injuries.

The air ambulance is on the scene.
