Spring Orchid show: Bendigo Orchid Club at YMCA Leisure centre, Browning Street, Kangaroo Flat. Friday 1pm to 5pm. Saturday, 10am to 5pm. Sunday 10am to 4pm. $5. Refreshments and raffle available.

Old Time Dance: 8pm.  Music by Rod McKenzie. All money raised goes towards the Campbell’s Forest Hall Redevelopment where the dance is held. $10 per person, bring  a plate of supper. Details: 5437 5258.

Amicus Celbrates: For 25 years Amicus has been a community-based organisation supporting people with a disability, the frail and aged. From 11am to 2pm for the Victorian Seniors Festival they will be having fun activities in the Civic Gardens of Lyttleton Terrace.
Girl’s Night in Movie: The Can Do Club, supper and trade presentation at 6.30pm followed by the movie Behind the Candelabra starting at 7.30pm. Star Theatre Eaglehawk.   All funds go to the Cancer Council of Victoria. Details: 0408 409 061.

U3A Bendigo Open Day: 10am to 3pm Uniting Church Hall, corner High and Laurel streets, Golden Square. Musical presentations, static art, craft, computers and displays. Morning and afternoon tea provided. Free entry. Details: 5444 0362.
