“This isn’t in the show, but let’s f***ing do it anyway,” Wil Anderson said.

Whether it was just one of those things comedians say every night, or totally legitimate, it drew in a packed Theatre Royal last Friday night.

Supported by the inexplicably lesser known Justin Hamilton, Anderson owned the stage and had his audience captivated the way only a true pro can.

Hamilton started by giving us just a taste of his brilliance. His stop/start delivery, timing and miming is spot on, making him one of the funniest storytellers out there, a local must for any comedy fan.

Main man Anderson appeared much more casual and down to earth than he comes across on the telly.

He flexes his comedy muscle in Man Vs Wil, but surprisingly veers into some deeper issues, exploring politics, moral values and personal fears.

His personal anecdotes are the key to this show, they are brutally honest, hilarious and make him so damn likeable.

As deep as Anderson delves, there’s plenty of masterful dick jokes weaved in there too, and there’s nothing wrong with a bit of witty, well thought out crass, is there?

The show will leave you exhausted from laughter, but also thinking. His powers of persuasion are as strong as his funny bone, to think of the damage someone like Pauline Hanson could do with such power

Anderson's Castlemaine gig was the second last show, of around 173, on his current tour, but judging by this show, Wil just gets better with age.
