THE biggest weekend of local bowls action continues today with the second of four consecutive days of grand finals to be played across the city.

The Bendigo Bowls Division pennant grand finals kicked off yesterday, with midweek pennant grand finals played in divisions two, three, four and five.

Bendigo Bowling Club hosted division two’s decider between Woodbury and White Hills, while Strathfieldsaye and Harcourt locked horns in division four.

In division two, it was Woodbury who took out the grand final, while in division four, Harcourt emerged comfortable victors over Strathfieldsaye.

The division one grand final will be contested today between Eaglehawk and Bendigo East at Kangaroo Flat.

The action reaches its peak on Sunday with the BBD weekend pennant grand final between two of the competition’s most dominant clubs and traditional rivals Bendigo East and Eaglehawk.
