BSE College students raised awareness of MND this week in a most chilling way.

Nine staff were up for the challenge to have a bucket of ice water tipped on their head.

Students voted with their donations to choose the top two to receive the dump of icy water.

They were also collecting donations through selling Big Freeze beanies.

Food was on sale, and students made a gold-coin donation to wear casual clothes.

Year 9 students opted to raise awareness of MND as a peer’s father has the disease and they wanted to support their classmate. They designed all marketing collateral for the event.

The event raised more than $2000, which will go to the Neil Daniher-backed Fight MND Foundation.
