GUITAR BRIGADE: Jimmy Black, Jack Kennedy, Johnathan Marland, Annabel Marland, Natalie Edith and Bek Taylor.
THE Rifle Brigade Hotel plays host to Rock in Vines this Sunday.

Festival director Steve Saxton said the big day was getting close.

“We are committed to delivering this and other events for Bendigo, its music-loving public, and the talented local artists who have been such great supporters of this concept,” he said.

Sunday’s event showcases tons of local and interstate talent including The Lachy Doley Group from Sydney.

Lachy’s credits include playing and recording with acts as diverse as Bernard Fanning, Jimmy Barnes, Powderfinger, The Beautiful Girls, Jimmy Little and The Widowbirds.

“We are also excited to be able to bring a nine-piece Ska/Reggae Band, The Ska Vendors with Pat Powell to Bendigo,” he said.

“Three members of the band also play in the hugely popular ARIA nominated Melbourne Ska Orchestra and we’re sure they will have the crowd on their feet dancing.”

There will be many talented and popular local acts such as The Jordan Allen Band, Grim Fawkner, Jack Kennedy and his band Jack and the Kids, and John Lingard.

The day will end with a bang as The Rifle Brigade’s carpark rocks to the sounds of the power acts Jackson Firebird and King of the North.

“We are genuinely excited to be staging the event at The Rifle, whose name has become synonymous with supporting great live music and providing a family-friendly atmosphere,” Mr Saxton said.

Tickets are available at the door or online at www.ticketbooth.com.au for $20. More details from HERE
