If you enjoy studying faces, the latest exhibition in the Bendigo Bank Centre, Exhibit B, will provide you with great interest.
As a student of life, local artist Jane Ineson looks for the inner strength and spiritual qualities of her subjects.
“Working from life allows me to respond with greater depth and sincerity,” she said.
“I am interested in spiritual likeness, and intrigued by the surprise truths that are discovered from drawing honestly in the moment.”
One of her particular portraits, of Ron Connely (pictured centre) was painted near Omeo in remote high country.
The painting was short-listed for the 2017 Doug Moran National Portrait Prize.
Communing through Portraiture, Paintings and Drawing by Jane Ineson will be on display until June 4.
